So,little back ground, I got a book for Christmas last year entitled, "300 Writing Prompts" I figured what better way to use them than making mini blogs about them. Hopefully the topics make you (the reader) think a little about the subject and maybe reflect on how you would answer the question. Here goes, Writing Prompt number 1:
What Takes Too Long
I was going to say something funny like waiting at the DMV or a kid waiting for the last five minutes before the school bell. But in all honesty, it's change. Change for good, for the environment, change for minorities or more change for women in the work place on their control over their own health care. Change in schools and education for police and nursing home workers. Better pay for the people that work hard to make the country go 'round day after day.
Change takes far too long, complacency is detriment to society and stifles community growth. Fairness takes too long, we're supposed to be the greatest country in the world, but we can't even take the time to help our own people and treat them fairly. Change, change for the better, that's what takes too long.
